Fresh off appearing at the national Social Enterprise Alliance Summit, we at Go Buy Local (vibrantly, as you’ll see) shared our story and expertise with visitors and other exhibitors that migrated from all corners of the country to our backyard in the Twin Cities. While we loved being able to share how a buy local initiative can boost community sustainability, we were equally impressed and inspired by what other social enterprise organizations had to offer!

As proud as we were to share how we empower “brick and mortar” businesses to compete with outside and online competition, it was great to see what other like-minded people are doing to benefit and build their local communities and contribute to the economic backbone of the United States (here’s a list of fellow exhibitors).

While exhibiting alongside fellow social enterprises, we at Go Buy Local got to meet dozens of individuals that also champion community sustainability. From professors at major universities and fundraisers to community leaders (including St. Paul Mayor Chris Coleman), any and all backgrounds merged for the great event.
